WHY I AM RUNNING FOR CITY COUNCIL
In the mid 70’s my family bought property in Crystal River, and we vacationed here in the summer. In 1980 we finally moved from Miami to Crystal River when I was in 11th grade and my brother in 8th grade. I remember us both wishing that we had moved sooner, or better yet, were born here. Crystal River was paradise in our eyes, and it seemed that all the kids went through school as one big family. Fast forward to today, it makes me so happy that our 5 children have been doing just that and our 10 grandchildren will be able to do the same!
Our home is on Bagley’s Cove in Crystal River. It’s our own slice of paradise, our pride and joy, and it means the world to us. The City of Crystal River is honestly just an extension of our home, and we love the small-town charm, sense of community, the bay, river, gulf, and abounding nature. I’m running for City Council because of my love for our City and my desire for future generations to get the opportunity to experience what a GEM Crystal River truly is.
WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR ME
First and foremost, my love for this city. Again, this is my home and it’s personal. I’m retired and want to give back to a community that’s given so much to us.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current City Councilwoman Seat 3
- 44 year resident of Crystal River
- 30+ years budgets/cost analysis, project management, safety compliance & permitting
- Strong leadership skills, detail oriented, honest and straightforward
- Current President of the Woodland Estates Homeowners’ Association (served on board 22 years)
- Past Chairman of the Crystal River Planning Commission
